Endured.

Tragedy wraps my voice in vines,
The quiet vice of darkest lines
Walking waking trusting none,
Waiting willing towards the sun
Underneath those shining beams,
Elixirs of our ancient dreams
Blink away the tears that sting,
Reciting past the hall of kings.
Who wanted more but never could,
Lead the people as they should
Eyes dry from pains that ease,
Intuition in the breeze
Each generation will take up anew,
Choosing to endure for you.

  1. I think this is fabulous. I like the rhyme, the sentiment and the message. I can almost feel the emotions.

Like always, short poems but educating and inspirational.
