Terrified Tree lay
Torn apart and laid bare
Taken from its rooted stay
Tossed aside without care
Tickled suddenly by a seed
Tree was asked,
“Today will you choose life anew?”
Tentatively Tree said, “I do”
Totally in awe the tree began to sprout
Tender in its living embrace
Tree had been reborn as grace.
I really like this poem. It is all about our choices and the life or death that comes from those choices. Wonderful.
